In analyzing Texas Campus/Teacher STaR Chart data for Greenwood Forest Elementary School from the past 3 years, I determined our campus is consistently low in the Key Area of Teaching and Learning.

The 6 targets contained in this area are as follows:
Online Learning
Student Mastery of Technology Applications (TA) TEKS
Technology Applications (TA) TEKS Implementation
Content Area Connections
Frequency/ Design of Instructional Setting Using Digital Content
Patterns of Classroom Use

Our campus is currently at a Developing Tech level:

Online Learning
I have customized several web-based lessons which include online TEKS-based content, resources, and learning activities that support learning objectives
Student Mastery of Technology Applications (TA) TEKS
26-50% of my students have mastered Technology Applications TEKS
Technology Applications (TA) TEKS Implementation
I am aware of the TA TEKS that are appropriate for content area TEKS and occasionally include technology skills in planning and implementing instruction I use adopted TA instructional materials to assist in instruction (where applicable)
Content Area Connections
I use technology to support content objectives
Frequency/ Design of Instructional Setting Using Digital Content
I have regular weekly access and use of technology and digital resources for curriculum activities in my classroom, library, or lab

technology to communicate and present information

The state expects us to be at a Target Tech Level:

Online Learning
I have created and integrated web-based lessons which include online TEKS-based content, resources, learning activities, and interactive communications that support learning objectives throughout the curriculum
Student Mastery of Technology Applications (TA) TEKS
86 to 100% of my students have mastered Technology Applications TEKS
Technology Applications (TA) TEKS Implementation
I seamlessly integrate Technology Applications (TA) TEKS in collaborative, cross-curricular units of instruction
Content Area Connections
My students and I seamlessly apply technology across all subject areas to provide learning opportunities beyond the classroom that are not possible without the technology
Frequency/ Design of Instructional Setting Using Digital Content
My students and I have on-demand access to all appropriate technology and digital resources anytime/anywhere for technology integrated curriculum activities on the campus, in the district, at home, or key locations in the community
Patterns of Classroom Use
My classroom is a student-centered learning environment
where technology is seamlessly integrated to solve real world problems in collaboration with business, industry, and
higher education Learning is transformed as my students propose, assess, and implement solutions to problems

My question is what can we do as a campus, which we haven't already tried, to help each other reach Target Tech teacher objectives? To post a response please click on the "discussions" tab at the top of this page.
